Opening Day of the Lagstad School Museum

The opening Day of the Lagstad School Museum will be celebrated on International Mother Language Day 21.2., as learning in Espoo has always taken place in many different languages – in the past as well as today – and this is also highlighted in the School Museum’s new exhibition.

The exhibition texts are available in Finnish, Swedish and English, as well as in an easy‑to‑read version. We want as many people as possible to feel welcome in the renewed museum, and therefore the opening day’s programme can be enjoyed through experiencing and doing – language skills are not essential.

The event is organised by KAMU Espoo City Museum’s Lagstad School Museum. PerformanceSirkus will also perform at the event, and Esbo hembygdsförening will take part.
