Multilingual Month’s Concert: Tataki on  7 March at 14.30-15.15 Lumo Library.

Tataki is a Helsinki based folk rock trio consisting of Taiwanese shamisen player Zuiko, Finnish drummer Aarne, and Chilean bass player Javier. Although the three musicians come from different parts of the world, they share a common characteristic in their playing: they all strike their instruments! Hence the name “”tataki”” which comes from the Japanese word for “”to strike/hit””.

With background in rock music in combination with their love for Japanese culture, Tataki will take the audience on a fun and wild journey that features cultures and languages of all three members and beyond! Get ready for some freshly arranged traditional pieces from Japan, pop songs from Taiwan, and groovy originals!
